Heather MacLeod received a BA from the University of Victoria, and has lived in many places throughout northern and western Canada.
Heather's first book of poems,
My Flesh the Sound of Rain
, was published in 1998. Since then, she has published two more books:
Shapes of Orion
(a chapbook), and
The North Woods
, co-authored with Coral Hull.
Heather's work has appeared in a number of anthologies and in many Canadian literary journals, including
Geist
,
Grain
and
PRISM International
and in journals in the U.S., U.K., Israel, Australia, and New Zealand. In addition, her plays have received honourable mentions from many contests and magazines.
Heather, a member of the M?tis Nation Northwest Territories, currently lives and works in British Columbia.
