Karen Clavelle's first collection of poetry, Iolaire, was released this past November and holds three nominations: the Lansdowne Prize for Poetry, the Mary Scorer Award for Best Book by a Manitoba Publisher, and the John Hirsch Award for Most Promising Manitoba Writer. The Best of All Possible Worlds by David Arnason picked up a nomination for the Alexander Kennedy Isbister Award for Non-Fiction and Armin Wiebe was shortlisted for his newest novel, Grandmother, Laughing, in the Margaret Laurence Award for Fiction category. Allan Levine's 2016 Ravenstone mystery, The Bootlegger's Confession, previously nominated for the Carol Shields Winnipeg Book Award, earned a spot on the Michael Van Rooy Award for Genre Fiction shortlist.

Congratulations to all the nominees for this well-deserved recognition of their work.
