Word on the Water is a weekend long literary festival in Kenora that attracts people from across Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba. The weekend includes book readings, author panel discussions, workshops, youth activities, and a book fair.

Schedule:

Friday, October 21, 7:00 to 9:00 pm
First Nations Writing Event: Writing in Four Directions
Features members of the Aboriginal Writers Collective of Winnipeg

Saturday, October 22, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Minis Hall (larger room) features six sessions of panel discussions and a book-fair.
The Reading Room (smaller room) features author readings separated into six sessions.

Participating authors include Mike Aiken, Jon Thompson, Richard Brignall, Rebecca Hofer, Helen Kubisewsky, Craig Russell, Dennis Cooley, Susan Rocan, Rae Bridgeman, Helen Norrie, Karen Dudley, David Annandale, and Aboriginal Writers Collective members.
