Five Turnstone Press Authors took part in Kenora's Word on the Water Literary Festival October 21 to 23. David Annandale (the Jen Blaylock action series), Karen Dudley (the Robyn Devara mystery series), and Dennis Cooley (Irene, seeing red) were all kept busy on Saturday, October 22, speaking on discussion panels and giving readings. Panels included mystery and crime fiction, fantasy genres, poetry and memoir. Discussion also turned to the future of getting published in the 21st Century. Wayne Tefs (Bandit) and Armin Wiebe (Murder in Gutenthal, Tatsea) were the guests of honour at the Saturday Night Page Turner event. Wiebe, Cooley, and Annandale were also on duty at workshops during Sunday, October 23. Though she wasn't a participant this year, author Lil Anderson (Beavers Eh to Bea and Pond Memories) was one of the Festival's organizers. See an article on the festival in the Kenora Daily Miner here.
