SEVEN MB BOOK AWARD NOMINATIONS FOR TURNSTONE AUTHORS

Winnipeg, April 8, 2016—Turnstone Press congratulates all of our authors who have been shortlisted for this year’s Manitoba Book Awards.

Letters to Brian, a memoir by Martha Brooks, was shortlisted for the Alexander Kennedy Isbister Award for Non-Fiction and novel The Road to Atlantis by Leo Brent Robillard was shortlisted for the Mary Scorer Award for Best Book by a Manitoba Publisher. Two of our spring poetry collections also were nominated, with Joanne Epp's Eigenheim shortlisted for the John Hirsch Award for Most Promising Manitoba Writer and Exquisite Monsters by KI Press shortlisted for the Manuela Dias Book Design Award.

For our Ravenstone titles, Kraken Bake by Karen Dudley was shortlisted for The Michael Van Rooy Award for Genre Fiction and Chadwick Ginther picked up two award nominations for Too Far Gone, shortlisted for the Mary Scorer Award for Best Book by a Manitoba Publisher and for The Michael Van Rooy Award for Genre Fiction.

We would like to congratulate all nominees for the well-deserved recognition of their work.

The Manitoba Book Awards Gala takes place on Saturday, April 30, at the Radisson Hotel.
