Manitoba Book Awards Gala

Five out of Turnstone's eight 2011 titles were shortlisted in eight different categories of the Manitoba Book Awards, some with multiple nominations. Bob Armstrong, whose comic novel Dadolescence was published by Turnstone Press in September of 2011, was nominated for the John Hirsch Award for Most Promising Manitoba Writer. Bandit: A Portrait of Ken Leishmanby Wayne Tefs was shortlisted for five different categories. The awards will be presented on April 28 at the Centre culturel franco-manitobain. Turnstone Press would like to congratulate all of nominees for the deserved recognition of their work.

The awards will be presented on April 28 at the Centre culturel franco-manitobain. Cocktails are at 7:00 p.m. and the ceremony will start at 8:00 p.m.
