Manitoba Butterflies: A Field Guide

$39.00

With over 1,100 photographs, Manitoba Butterflies sets a new standard for butterfly field guides. Presented in a clear and easy-to-follow format with butterfly facts and anecdotes there is something in Manitoba Butterflies for enthusiasts and amateurs alike.

Manitoba Butterflies sets a new standard for butterfly field guides, featuring 101 different species of Manitoba’s butterflies and over 1,100 photographs. For the first time in any Canadian field guide, the life cycles of all 101 species are detailed with photographs, some of which have never been published before. Each butterfly is presented over two pages in a clear and easy-to-follow format. Space is provided for butterfly lovers of all ages to track the species they find and the various stages of the life cycle they observe.

Manitoba Butterflies across Canada: Did you know that Manitoba butterflies can be found right across Canada? In fact Manitoba's two closest provincial neighbours, Saskatachewan and Ontario, share over 90% of the butterflies that can be found in this guide. Even Nunavut shares almost 30% of our butterfly species.  Are you curious what butterflies in the field guide appear in other provinces across Canada? Check out the list in the "Butterflies Across Canada" tab below (which includes all 101 butterflies found in the book) to find Manitoba Butterflies near you.
